Apple Broadens India Presence with 15-Floor Bengaluru Office

Apple, the prominent technology company based in the United States, has expanded its footprint in India by establishing a new office in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Situated at Minsk Square in the heart of the city, the office is surrounded by notable landmarks including the parliament, high court, central library, Chinnaswamy cricket stadium, and one of Bengaluru's largest green parks. Spanning 15 floors, the state-of-the-art Apple office is designed to accommodate up to 1,200 employees, featuring dedicated lab spaces, collaborative zones, wellness areas, and a Caffe Mac. Conveniently located near the Cubbon Park metro station, the office ensures easy accessibility to public transit for its employees.

Apple's Bengaluru office will serve as a hub for various teams involved in different aspects of the company's operations, spanning software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, and customer support. Aligning with Apple's international identity, the newly established office in Bengaluru features an interior adorned with locally sourced materials such as stone, wood, and fabric for walls and flooring. Additionally, the office is adorned with indigenous plants, reflecting a commitment to blending global and local elements in its design.

The office is meticulously crafted with sustainability as its focal point, operating entirely on 100 percent renewable energy. Apple's objective is to attain the highest level of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, aiming for a LEED Platinum rating. Apple has maintained carbon neutrality for its corporate operations since 2020 and has powered all its facilities with 100 percent renewable energy since 2018. In India, the company has established its corporate presence in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Gurugram, and now Bengaluru. With nearly 3,000 employees in the country, Apple continues to prioritize environmentally conscious practices.
