Equiv is a business vertical of Stellar Software Technologies Private Limited. It was founded in 2017 by Naren Krishna. Naren says that since long companies have relied on job portals like Naukri.com, but now the
companies are exploring other mediums apart from the conventional job boards to minimize the expenditure and enhancing the quality of hiring.
The platform utilizes data science to help companies searching for candidates through job portals find the right talent from LGBTQ community to fill vacant positions. The company also launched artificial intelligence(AI) tool that suggests the right person for the right job by examining platforms to find out talents, enhance the candidate experience, and encourage diversity on-boarding.
The startup has listed people that include eighty-three thousand women, seven-hundred individuals from LGBTQ community, thirty veteran two thousand four hundred disabled persons. Over eight hundred diversity hires have been made so far.
Narren says that the company strives to make India Inc more inclusive by hiring candidates from women, differently abled people, and individuals from LGBTQ community. The company has tie-ups with sixty top companies has hosted flagship programs that include ‘Women Change makers’ that have witnessed more than a thousand jobseeking women covering four cities. The company held a career fair for disabled candidates by the name of ‘Enablers’ while for veterans and LGBTQ candidates it held ‘Frontiers’ and ‘Q-rious’ respectively.
