GP Eco Solutions India Limited, through its subsidiary iNVERGY India Private Limited, announced plans to expand strategically within the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) space in accordance with the goals of the Indian government for renewable energy. This is in reaction to new policy requirements coming from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), which requires that 10% of battery storage capacity be integrated into new solar and wind projects.

As part of its expansion, the company is set to build a cutting-edge Gigafactory in Uttar Pradesh, which will have a production capacity of 5 GWh. This new facility, expected to be operational by the third quarter of FY2026, will complement the company's current 500 MWh capacity in Noida. In addition to the Gigafactory, GP Eco Solutions will establish advanced Research & Development centers focused on driving innovation in BESS technologies. These centers will explore new storage solutions, including solid-state batteries and hybrid systems, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of energy storage.

To ensure the sustainability of its operations, GP Eco Solutions is also building a strong network of supply chain partnerships. These will include sourcing raw materials, components, and establishing a recycling framework. The company’s efforts are aimed at supporting the integration of renewable energy while ensuring grid stability, reinforcing India’s transition toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

These initiatives reflect GP Eco Solutions’ commitment to enhancing grid stability and supporting the integration of renewable energy, in line with India’s transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

The company’s investments underscore its role as a key player in India’s renewable energy landscape, addressing the growing demand for efficient energy storage solutions.
