Piyush Goyal Meets L'Oreal India Leaders to Discuss Export Growth and Skill Development

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, recently held a series of high-level meetings with global corporate leaders to strengthen India’s export potential, attract foreign investment, and advance skill development initiatives. Among the key engagements was a meeting with Aseem Kaushik, Managing Director of L’Oréal India, and Krishna Vilasini Bharadwaj, Director, Corporate Affairs & Engagement at the company.

Taking to social media, Goyal shared, “Met Mr. Aseem Kaushik, MD, and Ms. Krishna Vilasini Bharadwaj, Director, Corporate Affairs & Engagement at L'Oréal India”. The discussions focused on the company’s plans to expand operations in India and scale up the export of beauty and personal care products to global markets.

L’Oréal India, which has been operating in the country for over two decades, is looking to deepen its footprint in both the domestic and international markets. The minister and company executives explored strategies to leverage India’s manufacturing capabilities to enhance exports, in alignment with the government’s ‘Make in India’ vision.

Another key highlight of the meeting was the focus on enhancing India’s skill development ecosystem. Minister Goyal emphasized the need for industry collaboration in building talent, particularly in the beauty and wellness sector. He noted that such efforts would not only generate employment opportunities but also support national programs such as ‘Skill India’ by creating a pool of job-ready professionals.
