Prodapt to Invest $100 Million in Alberta, Boosting AI and Tech Innovation

Prodapt, a global leader in telecom-native services and AI-led digital transformation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Invest Alberta to establish and expand operations in the province. The partnership is expected to deliver more than $100 million in economic impact over the next five years, reinforcing Alberta’s growing position as a technology and innovation hub in North America.

The MoU marks a pivotal step in Prodapt’s North America growth strategy. As part of this collaboration, Prodapt will establish a nearshore delivery center in Alberta, focusing on cutting-edge domains such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and digital transformation. The company also plans to work closely with leading universities in Alberta to co-create AI consulting services, especially in areas like Sovereign AI, GenAI platforms, and next-generation software engineering.

Prodapt’s Chief Technology Officer, Rajiv Papneja, added that Alberta's strong academic institutions and government support make it an ideal environment for driving innovation. “Alberta serves as a catalyst for our vision around Sovereign AI and next-gen platform engineering. We’re positioned to co-create solutions in AI, automation, and cloud that will benefit both Canada and global markets".

The initiative aligns with Alberta’s strategic shift toward a knowledge-based economy rooted in digital transformation, clean energy, and technological innovation. It is expected to create high-value job opportunities for local talent, provide real-world consulting projects for students, and support workforce development in emerging tech sectors.
