Fire and Safety needs have seen unprecedented importance for meeting the risks associated with large mixed use projects, high rise buildings with high utilization of land use. Engineering practices are facing new challenges due to innovations in construction needs and concepts. Visualizing rapid growth and that globalization will bring innovative concepts from all over, a foundation of a small enterprise was laid by M/S S.N.Joshi, Anand Joshi and Shirish Bhagwat in 1991 with 5 employees with Plumbing & Fire Consultancy. Today S.N.Joshi Consultants(SNJ) has 90+ employees with a pan India presence. The company is associated with projects, by all leading Architects, Construction Houses and Corporate clients. The year on year business growth speaks volumes of SNJ's efficiency in completing various projects by meeting national and intersnational standards, challenging schedules, costs, quality and transparency in all activities.

Pune based SN Joshi Consultants is best defined as a MEP designing firm dealing with all building services under one roof. The synergy of all services with focus on firesafety are studied and implemented at all stages of design concepts and design development for projects. "The main reason for us to be one of the top MEP consulting firms is our long term association with customer, professional integrity and upgrading our knowledge base through absorbing newer technologies and global standards," believes Anand Joshi, Managing Director.

He further believes that quality drawings, on time delivery of designs and resolution of problems in case of conflicts between different disciplines are priority issues for meeting project timelines. The approach of
dealing with customer requirements, planning fire safety measures to global standards has earned SNJ an advantageous position in a fast growing market

Globalization in the field of construction and in other fields has exposed designers and users to new concepts and innovations. It has become imperative to evaluate the new concepts in Fire safety and Fire protection and more importantly educate all stake holders. For consultants it becomes pivotal to educate client about best engineering practices and convince them for higher budget, if so required, to make the building safe and sustainable.

Considering this, team SNJ emphasizes on understanding dynamics of changing demands that are continually studied to deliver concepts comparable to the globally acceptable standards meeting local regulations.

Mr. Shirish Bhagwat

SNJ initially began its journey in 1991 with Plumbing and Firefighting consultancy and eventually added
MEP services to their suite. In the next five years, we established offices in Mumbai and Kolkata. In 2004, we started operations in Dubai for out sourcing. Acute shortage of skilled man power in MEP domain initiated us to start SNJ Academy in 2018. Through this academy, skilled manpower is made available for the industry and increase employ ability of engineers,"he mentions.

With a team of brilliant professionals who are motivated to deliver unhindered ideas to meet the need of the project and clients, today SNJ has acquired a project base of more than 200 million square feet and several prestigious projects such as the largest Shopping Mall in Thane, two of the top 10 tallest residential buildings in India, Residential Townships, amongst others.

The Growth over the Years
SNJ has been growing at 20 percent YoY and expects the growth to accelerate in future after revival of the real estate. "At SNJ we see future growth through standardization and automation of MEP Design. We would like to be one of the leading MEP consultants with a global presence and set standards for client satisfaction with quality delivery. We aspire to develop an integrated MEP software for design and drawings,"Mr. Bhagwat concludes.
