Ogilvy India Welcomes Back Neeraj Bassi to Head Consulting and Strategic Planning

Ogilvy India has announced the return of industry veteran Neeraj Bassi, who will assume a dual leadership role as the India Head of Ogilvy’s newly launched Consulting practice and the Head of Strategic Planning for Ogilvy India (North). Bassi will be based out of the agency’s Gurugram office, marking a significant strengthening of Ogilvy’s strategic capabilities in the region.

Ogilvy Consulting, a global initiative, is designed to tackle key strategic business challenges faced by clients, including Growth & Innovation, Business Design, and Digital Transformation. The consulting arm integrates Ogilvy’s diverse expertise across Brand Strategy, Customer Engagement & Commerce, Partnerships, and PR & Influence into a unified service offering, aimed at delivering holistic business solutions.

Bringing nearly 30 years of experience, Neeraj Bassi’s return to Ogilvy is widely seen as a homecoming. He initially joined Ogilvy Gurugram as President – Strategic Planning until 2015. Since then, Bassi has held key leadership roles, most recently as Chief Growth Officer at Cheil X, the specialist division of Cheil SWA. His career also includes senior positions such as Chief Strategy Officer at Publicis, Havas, and Cheil India, along with early stints at McCann Erickson and JWT Dubai.
